Pinin Farina Cresta, Fastback and Continental Drawings

RBS 891 Crewe drawing of the Cresta Prototype. Details of Crewe modifications to the MK-VI chassis including lowered steering.

B 1 Cresta Prototype, scale drawing, 1948. Lower bonnet line, wider radiator aperture and rounder rear quarterlight and lighter bumpers than production models. Chassis number B323CD constructed by Farina.

B 2 Cresta, revised scale drawing, 1948. Modified front wing with driving lamps, raised bonnet line, modified rear quarterlight, ribbed chrome trim under doors and heavy bumpers.

B 3 Cresta, production scale drawing, 1948. Finalised design, roofline 40mm lower, body 150mm wider, front bumper moved forward 8mm, and the radiator aperture was narrowed. Ten Crestas, chassis numbers B447CD, 476DA, 402LEY, 99LEW, 441LEW, 443LEW, 445LEW, 541FU, 141GT and167JN, were constructed to this design by Facel Metallon.

B 4 Bentley VI, concept scale drawing, 1948. Contributed to the rear wing shape of the H. J. Mulliner Lightweight (7210). Provided to Mulliner directors Herbert T. Johnstone and Stanley Watt during a visit to Farina in 1948.
