About The Continental Register

bentley 'r' type continentals
Stanley Sedgwick and the prototype Continental 9B-VI/BC-26-A.

In 1978, the late Stanley Sedgwick, Patron of the Bentley Drivers Club, compiled and published the monograph and owners’ register All the R-Type Continentals.  Continental owner Christian Hueber began to update this work in 1992 with Stanley Sedgwick’s help and approval.  Fellow Continental owner David Sulzberger joined the project in 1994 and contributed his extensive archives.  This has become the Continental Register.  Of the original 208 cars, 194 have now been located.  All the cars have been researched in much greater detail than was previously possible and this information has been entered on a specially designed database, which is continuously being updated.

The Continental Register has been formed to expand knowledge and freely exchange information about these cars among owners, enthusiasts and the principle clubs.  Ownership information will not be released however without permission.
